As you will be aware with the latest Government COVID-19 lockdown approaching on Thursday for a month we have no choice but to cancel the Stafford Walking Street Market on Nov 12th.
We have tried our best to make all the event a COVID Secure event and one of the safest environments you could be in, with an average of 1,500 people who felt comfortable enough to attend each time (average 5,000 last year Walking Street Market), all adhering to the COVID measures we put into place, all track and trace details for all of the five events this year have been destroyed within 21 days allocated; with no instances of COVID.
We have worked closely with Staffordshire Police & Fire departments Stafford Borough Council, Health & Safety, Environmental Health. Licensing departments and adhering to government guideline’s and we will continue to do so for our Christmas Stafford Walking Street Market event on the 10th of December.
We will be pulling out all the stops for that one; we have booked ‘real’ reindeers, sleigh and elves from Amerton Farm and plan a free Santa’s Grotto for all the children, we ask for donations for wrapped gifts like last year. Plus we have a full line up on the stage

The Market Square and Town Centre will be the place to eat, drink and shop at Stafford Walking Street Market on the 12th of November, something for all ages with plenty to eat from street food vendors, market and retail stalls plus mobile bars serving a selection of beers, wines and spirits, cocktail and craft cider 👜🍕🍗🍡🥂🍻🥣🍿

Ian Keeley will be hosting along with the 107.3 Stafford FM Roadshow Team
Starting at 4 pm as its after school finishing time children and Mums and Dads, can come after school, students after college as well as retirees can enjoy the afternoon. From 5 pm come after work and relax, those coming later in the evening can enjoy food drink, retail therapy and music for a couple of hours until 9pm
Hired toilets will be situated on Market Street including disabled toilet
This event encourages everyone in our community to come together in a socially distanced safe environment regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or marital status.
The main goal is to try and bring some kind of normally to the people of Staffordshire to alleviate some of the stress and mental anguish that many people are suffering at the moment in a COVID Secure venue
The local pubs welcome you 🕺🍷🍸 check their policies you may have to pre book a seat, some allow you to eat your street food on their premises long as you buy drinks, some allow children during the market day, unfortunately you cannot pop into use their loos so we have hired some for your comfort and will be situated on Market Street

Barriers with ‘Wash Stations’ at entrances will be manned by SIA security staff and stewards, at will be ‘active’ from 3.50 and signing in/contact details for ALL adults will be required for TRACK and TRACE paper T&T sheets will also be situated at the wash stations or use NHS QR code on your phone. Manual details will be destroyed after 21 days – Lorraine keeps the details, they do not get passed on to anyone else, this is not the same as GDPR however LR Partnership Event does have a GDPR policy, please check LR Partnership Events website
This is mandatory for this event to take place as agreed with Stafford Borough Council, Staffordshire Police, Fire Service, Environmental Health, Licensing and Health & Safety Departments
Hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes are to be used on entry and all stallholders have at their stands
Masks are to be worn as much as possible during the event except when eating or drinking, under 11’s are not required to wear masks or those with underlining health issues (to wear mask is not compulsory during the event but we feel that it a precautionary safety measure to act as a simple barrier to help prevent respiratory droplets from travelling into the air and onto other people when the person wearing the mask coughs, sneezes, talks, or raises their voice)
DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL
Security, alongside stewards, will monitor the number of attendees.
We will set small groups of chairs near one another while still providing plenty of opportunities for social distancing. Family groups can stay together, otherwise follow social distancing guidelines (2m, or 1m with risk mitigation where 2m is not viable, is acceptable) at the venue.

Attendee with children are responsible for supervising them at all times and should follow social distancing guidelines.
Clear guidance on social distancing and hygiene will be explained to people on arrival and leaflet given to all attending on entering the Market
Cashless payments are preferred.
We have hired toilets for the event and will be situated in Market Street.
Please sanitise your hands BEFORE and AFTER using
Regular announcements to remind customers to follow social distancing advice and disinfect/clean their hands regularly by Ian Keeley on the Stafford FM Roadshow Stage.
Staff will responsible for disinfecting any tables on site used by the public regularly and after public have moved away.
