Stafford town centre is being taken over on Bank Holiday Friday 3rd of June between 12 noon and 8pm for the biggest party to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee the one and only time in British history that this will ever happen and everyone is invited. There will be live music on stage and Stu Haycock and the Stafford FM Roadshow with loads of fun, games and competitions for all ages with street food vendors, mobile bars, dance troops and displays plus retail stalls, community projects and charities lining the streets.

Lorraine Conkey the event organiser said;
We want everyone to get together for this great community family event and get into the spirit by dressing up in red white and blue. We want to include as many different sections of Staffordshire life as possible all the town’s shops, bars and restaurants to get involved, even if it’s just placing bunting all over their premises. The bars and clubs will then carry on the party until late evening and early morning. We have military personal, SAAFA, the British Legion, to the Staffordshire Fire Service, Staffordshire Police, Army and Salvation Army all joining in.
We are delighted that Peter Taunton the Town Crier will introduce The Worshipful the Mayor of Stafford Councillor Philip Leason to officially open the event and later in the day as a representative of The Queen herself, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Jeremy Lefroy will join in the celebration
